Tiger Temple Thailand, or Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua, is a Theravada Buddhist temple in Thailand that was founded in 1994 as a forest temple and sanctuary for wild animals, among them several tigers that can be petted by visitors. It is located in Thailand's Kanchanaburi province, 38 kilometers from the border of Myanmar.
The first cub was received in 1999, but unfortunately it died soon later. After that, several cubs were brought to the temple, and the total number of tigers in May 2012 was more than 100.

The Buddhist monks are responsible for tigers care and breeding, and appears as one with them. They just like a family, "they eat together, walk together and pray together". This temple is one of the most visited tourist sites in Bangkok due to the unique place to see and visit. Visitors or tourist can take picture and play with the tigers in the temple too.
